Lung Fu Do Karate Self-Defense Review, Shichi Kyu (Orange Belt)

Number 1

  1. Uki - right-to-right wrist grab.
  2. Grab wrist with left (thumb up).
  3. Step under then pivot 180 to be standing at side while holding Uki arm tight without slipping.
  4. Keep Uki elbow up at should height with hand pointed toward ground.
  5. Tweak hand as needed with right.

Number 2

  1. Uki - left-to-left wrist grab.
  2. Grab wrist with left (thumb up).
  3. Step under then pivot back to facing Uki while holding arm tight without slipping.
  4. Uki arm should now be twisted in front horizontally palm up.
  5. Tweak hand as needed with left.

Number 3

  1. Uki - right-to-right wrist grab.
  2. Grab and hold with left.
  3. Right knife hand twist down and over Uki right while twisting hand with left.

Number 4

  1. Uki - right-to-chest.
  2. Grab with right to hold then left to hold right.
  3. Pivot stepping to right forward to twist hand back.
  4. Slightly bend knees and lean to apply pressure as needed.

Number 5

  1. Uki - right-to-left wrist grab (standing side-by-side).
  2. Grab and hold with right.
  3. Use left arm as lever over Uki wrist to over-extend wrist.
  4. Leverage as needed.

Number 6

  1. Uki - right-to-left wrist grab.
  2. Bring left hand to "U" cradle while grabbing with right to twist hand loose.
  3. Slide left to just below Uki elbow to hold in place.
  4. Push arm to be in front of Uki with Uki fingers pointed toward you.
  5. Tweak hand up as needed.

Number 7

  1. Uki - right-to-left wrist grab.
  2. Grab with right.
  3. Twist hand off while twirling against thumb with right arm.
  4. Pivot on right to turn left to horse stance while pulling Uki with momentum.
  5. Uki will fall on back with elbow on ground.
  6. Drop to knees on either side of elbow and press down on hand as needed.

Number 8

  1. Uki - right-to-right wrist grab.
  2. Grab with left.
  3. Twist hand off while twirling against thumb with right arm.
  4. Pivot on right to turn left to horse stance while pulling Uki with momentum.
  5. Twirl Uki arm to flip around and over onto belly.
  6. Tweak hand as needed.
